The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which comes in February end or early March. We’ll be celebrating Holi in New York City during a much warmer month, May. Holi festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of ‘good’ over ‘bad’. The colorful festival bridges the social gap and renew sweet relationships. On this day, people hug and wish each other ‘Happy Holi’.

NYC Bhangra is New York City’s own Bhangra enthusiasts who are spreading awareness and joy through Bhangra dance instruction and performances. Bhangra is a traditional Punjabi folk-dancing style developed in the northern part of the region originally to celebrate the harvest. It has been developed in modern times to absorb and embrace western dance and contemporary influences.
